About the Journal
The Journal of Engineering Research (Libya) is a prestigious, peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tripoli. Since its inception, the journal has strived to be a leading platform for disseminating high-quality original research and comprehensive review articles across all disciplines of engineering and applied technologies. It welcomes innovative scholarly contributions ranging from theoretical developments and experimental results to advanced industrial and practical engineering applications while strictly adhering to the highest standards of scientific integrity and academic excellence.
The journal invites original, unpublished research papers across diverse engineering disciplines, including but not limited to:

All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process by independent experts to ensure methodological accuracy, in full compliance with COPE ethical guidelines.
The journal is published biannually, with the provision for special issues dedicated to emerging technologies or interdisciplinary engineering topics.
Operating under a Diamond Open Access model, the journal charges no Article Processing Charges (APCs). In accordance with the BOAI definition, articles are freely available immediately upon publication. To align with DOAJ standards, copyright is retained by the journal, while authors and readers are granted broad usage rights under a CC BY 4.0 license.
The journal boasts a rich academic heritage, established in the late 1980s with its inaugural issue published in March 1989, making it one of the pioneering engineering journals in the region. Following a temporary suspension due to administrative restructuring, the journal successfully resumed regular publication in 2006. Since then, it has continued uninterrupted, consistently enriching the engineering and academic community with cutting-edge research.
